To remove the wireless antennas, first remove the optical drive...

To remove the antennas, first detach the antenna connectors from the wireless LAN card.   

Free the connector from the cable guide near the motherboard...

 

...and untape it from the top of the middle frame.   tape

Peel back the large piece of Mylar tape at the top of the unit.

Pull the antenna connectors free of the cable guides at the top edge of the middle frame.   guides

Free the connectors from any tape at the top edge.   tape

Detach the single screw securing the first antenna to the unit.   screw

Remove while carefully peeling off the antenna’s grounding tape from the middle frame.

Repeat for the second antenna.

Pull the antennas free from the cables at the top of the unit.

Each antenna has a small hole...

... that fits over a locator peg at the top of the middle frame.

Before installing the antennas, make sure each antenna has a piece of grounding tape attached to the top.

To install the antennas, place each antenna over its locator peg and replace the grounding tape against the middle frame.

Secure each antenna with a single screw.

Retape the left antenna connector to the middle frame.

Replace the antenna connectors back into the cable guides on the top edge of the middle frame.

Press the Mylar tape back into place over the cable guides.

Retape the combined connector to the middle frame...   tape

...and secure it in its cable guide near the motherboard.  

Replace the antenna connectors to the wireless LAN card.
