before removal

To remove the motherboard, first remove the optical drive... (Roll mouse over image)

...the rear cover... (Roll mouse over image)

...and the motherboard EMI shield. (Roll mouse over image)

Once the motherboard has been exposed, remove the thermal module... (Roll mouse over image)

...the main blower... (Roll mouse over image)

...the CPU... (Roll mouse over image)

...the wireless LAN card... (Roll mouse over image)

...the TV tuner card... (Roll mouse over image)

...the TV tuner bracket... (Roll mouse over image)

...and system memory from the motherboard. (Roll mouse over image)

Detach all remaining system connectors from the motherboard. (Roll mouse over image)

Remove the two remaining screws securing the motherboard to the PC.

Lift the motherboard off of the PC. (Roll mouse over image)

Place the motherboard in an antistatic bag.

installation

The motherboard has a small hole in two of its corners.

The peg holes fit over two locator pegs on the middle frame.

Fit the motherboard over its locator pegs. (Roll mouse over image)

Replace the two screws for the motherboard.

Reattach all system connectors. (Roll mouse over image)

Replace the system memory, the TV tuner bracket, the TV tuner card, wireless LAN card, the CPU, the main blower, and the thermal module.
