before removal

To remove the webcam, first remove the optical drive... (Roll mouse over image)

...the stand cover... (Roll mouse over image)

...the stand... (Roll mouse over image)

...and the rear cover. (Roll mouse over image)

removal

Detach the two small screws for the webcam.

Carefully pull back the Mylar tape near the webcam... (Roll mouse over image)

...and pull the webcam partially out of the unit. (Roll mouse over image)

Detach the connector from the webcam...

...to fully remove the webcam from the PC. (Roll mouse over image)

installation

To replace the webcam...

...first reattach the connector the board.

Place the webcam back onto the unit. (Roll mouse over image)

Press the connector against the middle frame and press the Mylar tape over it. (Roll mouse over image)

Reattach the two small screws for the webcam.
