before removal

To remove the inverter board, first remove the optical drive... (Roll mouse over image)

removal

Detach the motherboard connector from the side of the board.

Detach the two connectors to the LCD panel from the board.

Press the latch for each connector to detach the connectors.

Remove the two screws from the board...

...and pull the board out of the PC. (Roll mouse over image)

installation

There are two small locator holes on the inverter board...

...that align on top of two small nubs on the middle frame board stands.

To replace the inverter board, align the holes on the board with the nubs on the frame. (Roll mouse over image)

Replace the two screws.

Replace the two LCD panel connectors to the top and bottom of the board.

Replace the motherboard connector to the board.
