USB Dongle Port removal

Before you begin: First remove the USB dongle cap, the right rear cap, the left rear cap, the stand, the T rear cover, the left side cap, and the right side cap. Remove the optical drive eject button, and partially remove the rear IO bracket and the webcam. Remove the USB dongle, the rear cover, the motherboard shield, the thermal module, and the hinge slider. Separate the front bezel from the rest of the PC.

Steps

1. Detach the screw for the USB dongle port.
2. Untape the connector from the front bezel.
3. Disengage the connector from all the cable guides on the front bezel.
4. Pull the port out of the unit.

Steps

1. To replace the USB dongle port, place the port onto the front bezel.
2. Replace the connector in its cable guides on the front bezel.
3. Tape the connector to the front bezel.
4. Replace the screw to secure the port to the front bezel.
