System Memory removal

Before you begin: First remove the USB dongle cap and the left rear cap.

Steps

1. Gently pull out on the retaining lever located on each side of the SO-DIMM. 
2. The module will pop out to a 45 degree angle from the socket. 
3. The SO-DIMM module can now be pulled free.

System Memory replacement

Steps

1. There is a small notch on one side of each SO DIMM module. There is a small tab on one side of each SO DIMM socket.
2. To replace an SO DIMM, angle the module to about 45 degrees and engage the notch on the module with the tab in the socket.
3. Press the SO DIMM down into place until the retaining levers snap into position over the sides of the module.
4. If installing new memory, make sure to install memory modules into the sockets in the order indicated by the label on the motherboard EMI shield.
