Rear IO removal
Before you begin: First remove the USB dongle cap, the right rear cap, the left rear cap, the stand, the T rear cover, the left side cap and the motherboard shield.
Steps
- Next, detach the antenna connector from the TV tuner card and pull it out of the cable guide at the bottom of the motherboard.
- Open the rear IO door.
- Detach the two screws for the rear IO bracket.
- Swing the bracket up and slide down to disengage it from the unit.
- Detach the two connectors from the rear IO board to fully remove the assembly.
- To remove the rear IO board from the assembly, first free the antenna connector from the cable guide on the rear IO board.
- Detach the three screws for the board.
- Pull the board off the bracket.
Rear IO replacement
Steps
- To replace the IO board, align the screw holes on the board onto the bracket standoffs.
- Attach the board to the bracket with three screws.
- Secure the antenna connector into the cable guide on the board
- There are two wide tabs on the rear IO bracket that slide into slots on the rear cover.
- To replace the rear IO assembly, first reattach the two motherboard connectors to the bottom of the board.
- Align the tabs to their slots and slide the bracket up.
- Swing the bracket down and press up until the screw holes on the bracket and the PC align.
- Replace the two screws.
- Close the rear IO door.
- Place the antenna connector into the cable guide at the bottom of the motherboard
- Replace the antenna connector to the TV tuner card.
