Motherboard Shield removal

Before you begin: First remove the USB dongle cap, the right rear cap, the left rear cap, the stand, the T rear cover and the left side cap.

Steps

1. Detach the three screws for the motherboard shield.
2. Carefully tip the shield up and pull it out at an angle.

Motherboard Shield replacement

Steps

1. There are several tabs on the side edge of the motherboard shield that fit into slots on the middle frame.
2. To replace the motherboard shield, carefully align the tabs of the shield near their slots and swing the shield down into place.
3. Replace the three screws for the shield. The shield screw holes are indicated by a stencil on the shield.
