Left Side Cap removal

Before you begin: First remove the USB dongle cap and the left rear cap.

Steps

  1. Detach the two screws for the left side cap.
  2. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry up the latch securing the cap to the rear cover.
  3. Partially remove the left side cap.
  4. Detach the connector to the volume control board to fully remove the cap.

Steps

  1. The left side cap has several slotted tabs that fit into slots on the front bezel.
  2. The left side cap also has a latch that attaches over a slot on the rear cover.
  3. To replace the left side cap, first reattach the volume control board connector to the board. 
  4. Align the slotted tabs on the cap over the slots on the bezel.
  5. Rotate the cap and press until the latch snaps into place.
  6. Press the cap edges to make sure it is correctly in place
  7. Press the volume control board connector down into its cable channel on the rear cover.
  8. Replace the two screws for the left side cap.
