IR Sensor Board removal

Before you begin: First remove the USB dongle cap, the right rear cap, the left rear cap, the stand, the T rear cover, the left side cap, and the right side cap. Remove the optical drive eject button, and partially remove the rear IO bracket and the webcam. Remove the USB dongle, the rear cover and partially remove the right side speaker.

Steps

1. Detach the screw for the IR sensor board.
2. Partially remove the board.
3. Detach the connector from the board to fully remove the board.

IR Sensor Board replacement

Steps

1. To replace the IR sensor board, first replace the connector to the board.
2. Align the board into place on the front bezel.
3. Make sure the corner of the board is under the alignment guide on the front bezel.
4. Replace the screw for the IR sensor board.
