CPU removal

Before you begin: Remove the USB dongle cover, the right rear cap, the left rear cap, the stand, the T rear cover, the left side cap, the motherboard shield and the thermal module.

Steps

1. Release the CPU from its socket.
2. Pull out the CPU.

CPU replacement

Steps

1. The CPU and the socket each have an indicator of pin 1 position.
2. To replace the CPU, carefully align pin 1 on the CPU to its socket location.
3. Secure the CPU in the socket with the CPU retaining mechanism.
