Media card reader/USB board removal

Before you begin: Remove the stand, optical drive door, rear cover, and minor bracket.

Note: This content was developed with a pre-production computer that used Phillips-head screws. Your computer will have Torx-15 screws.

1. Disconnect the cables from the media card reader/USB board.
2. Remove the two P1 screws that secure the board to the chassis.
3. Lift and remove the board.

Media card reader/USB board replacement

1. Align the board with the screw holes on the chassis.
2. Replace the two P1 screws that secure the board to the chassis.
3. Connect the cables to the board.
