Inverter board removal

Before you begin: Remove the stand, optical drive door, rear cover, and minor bracket.

Note: This content was developed with a pre-production computer that used Phillips-head screws. Your computer will have Torx-15 screws.

1. Remove the two P1 screws that secure the board to the chassis.
2. Lift the board and disconnect the LCD panel and backlight cables from the board.
3. Disconnect the inverter cable and remove the board.

Inverter board replacement

1. Connect the inverter cable to the board.
2. Connect the backlight and LCD panel cables to the board.
3. Position the board over the mounting posts and replace the two screws.
