
Wi-Fi board removal
Before you begin : Remove the stand, optical drive door, rear cover, and minor bracket.
- Carefully disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the Wi-Fi board with a small needle nose pliers or tweezers.
- Remove the P0 Phillips-head screw that secures the Wi-Fi board to the system board and allow it to release to the spring tension position.
- Grasp the board by the edges and pull gently to remove it.
Wi-Fi board replacement
- Match the notch on the Wi-Fi board with the key in the socket.
- Grasp the board by the edges and push gently to replace it.
- Press the board down and replace the P0 Phillips-head screw that secures the board to the system board.
- Reconnect the right wireless antenna cable to the ANT2 connector on the board.
- Reconnect the left wireless antenna cable to the ANT1 connector on the board.
