Optical drive door removal

1. Insert the straightened end of an unfolded paper clip into the release hole on the drive and push in to release the CD drawer.
2. Grasp the CD drawer and gently pull it out.
3. Use a screwdriver to push in on the two retaining tabs to release the door.
4. Pull the door away from the CD drawer and remove.

Optical drive door replacement

1. If the CD drawer is in the closed position, insert the straightened end of an unfolded paper clip into the release hole on the drive and push in to release the CD drawer.
2. Grasp the CD drawer and gently pull it out.
3. Align the retaining tabs on the drive door with the slots on the front of the CD drawer and push until the door snaps into place.
4. Push the CD drawer back into the computer.
