WLAN Antenna removal

Before you begin: Remove the rear cover.

Steps

1. Detach the wireless antenna connector from the WLAN card on the motherboard.
2. Disengage the connector from the cable guides on the middle frame
3. Pull out the connector.
4. Remove the screw securing the antenna to the middle frame.
5. Pull the antenna away from the PC.

WLAN Antenna replacement

Steps

1. To replace the wireless LAN antenna, place the antenna against the middle frame.
2. Replace its screw to secure it to the middle frame.
3. Fish the connector back under the system fan.
4. Replace the connector into its cable guides on the middle frame.
   
5. Reattach the antenna to the WLAN card on the motherboard.
