Inverter Board removal

Before you begin: Remove the rear cover, the optical drive, and the optical drive holder.

Steps

1. Detach the motherboard connector from the inverter board.
2. Detach the two LCD panel connectors from the inverter board. The LCD panel connectors each have a latch that must be pressed to remove the connector.
3. Remove the two screws securing the inverter board to the base pan.
4. Pull out the inverter board.

Steps

1. To replace the inverter board, align the two screw holes on the board with the two screw holes on the base pan.
2. Replace the two screws.
3. Replace the two LCD panel connectors to the inverter board.
4. Replace the motherboard connector to the inverter board.
