Front Bezel removal

Before you begin: Remove the rear cover.

Steps

1. Detach the power switch connector from the motherboard. Untape it from the base pan and free it from its cable guide.
2. Detach both speaker connectors from the motherboard.
3. Remove the 10 system screws securing the middle frame to the front bezel. The screws are each labeled with a circle in between two lines.
4. Remove the top two small screws for the webcam bracket as well.
5. Pull the middle frame off of the front bezel.
6. If replacing the front bezel, remove the power switch, the speakers, and both feet, and install on the new bezel.

Steps

1. Lay the bezel face down on the work surface.  
2. There is a locator peg at the top left corner and the bottom right corner of the bezel that align with holes on the middle frame.
3. There are also two small locator pegs on the top edge of the bezel that fit into holes on the webcam bracket.
4. Align the holes on the middle frame with the locator pegs and press the frame into place.
5. Press the webcam securely over its locator pegs.
6. Replace the two small screws for the webcam.
7. Replace the 10 system screws.
8. Replace the speaker connectors to the motherboard.
9. Replace the power switch connector back in its cable guide on the base pan and tape it down.
10. Replace the power switch connector to the motherboard.
