EMI Shield removal

Before you begin: Remove the rear cover.

Steps

1. Remove the cables for the system fan, the inverter board, the wireless LAN antenna, the speakers, the power switch, and the webcam from the motherboard.
2. Detach the 6 screws for the EMI shield.
3. Carefully pull the shield off of the PC.

EMI Shield replacement

Steps

1. There are two tabs on the bottom of the EMI shield that fit into two slots on the middle frame.
2. Carefully align the shield over the motherboard.
3. Make sure the tabs fit into their slots and the cutouts for the rear IO fit around the ports.
4. Replace the six screws
